VICTOR Stringing Machines — One (1) Year Limited Warranty

Victor NA warrants that the structural and mechanical components of the machine will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of the original sales invoice issued by Victor NA or the Authorized Dealer, when the machine is installed, adjusted, maintained and used in accordance with the owner’s manual.

Components within scope:

• Base, frame, column and turntable castings and weldments
• Turntable bearing and rotational lock assembly
• Mounting towers, mounting arms and centre support
• Clamp bodies, clamp bases and clamp base locking mechanism
• Tension head assembly (mechanical spring/crank or electronic motor and drive)
• Gripper assembly body and gripper actuation mechanism
• Electronic control board, wiring harness, display and power supply on electronic models

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. The machine serial number and the original sales invoice are required for any claim.

Registration is mandatory. Coverage under this warranty is conditional on the machine being registered at warranty.victorracquets.com within 30 days of the invoice date, with the serial number, model, dealer, invoice number and invoice date recorded and a copy of the sales invoice uploaded. The registration record held in the warranty portal governs the dates applying to the machine.

An unregistered machine, or a machine registered after the 30-day window, is not covered by this warranty, and no claim will be accepted against it. Registration is the responsibility of the purchaser, including where the machine is supplied through an Authorized Dealer. Victor NA does not register machines on a purchaser’s behalf.

Territory. This warranty is valid only for machines purchased in and located in Canada and the United States. Victor NA cannot provide warranty service, parts or inspection for machines exported to or operated in any other territory, and coverage ends if the machine is relocated outside the territory.

2.1 Wear items and consumables

Stringing machines are precision tools subjected to continuous mechanical load. The following are consumable wear items and are not covered at any point in the warranty term, regardless of how quickly they wear:

• Clamp pads, clamp inserts and clamp jaw faces
• Gripper pads, gripper discs, gripper jaws and gripper linings
• String grippers, awls, pliers, starting clamps and all supplied hand tools
• Drive belts, tension belts, drawbands and cords
• Mounting pad protectors, frame-contact rubber and plastic pads
• Turntable brake pads and friction surfaces
• Knobs, handles, thumbscrews, fasteners, springs, washers and bushings
• Feet, casters, covers, decals and painted or anodized finishes
• Lubricants and cleaning supplies

2.2 Adjustment, calibration and setup

A stringing machine requires periodic adjustment as part of normal ownership. The following are maintenance and adjustment matters, not defects, and are not warranty events:

• Clamp slippage caused by worn pads, contaminated pads, insufficient clamp pressure, or incorrect clamp setting
• Clamp base slippage or drift caused by insufficient locking force or debris on the track
• Gripper slippage caused by worn, glazed or contaminated gripper surfaces
• Tension variance within the operating tolerance described in the owner's manual
• Loss of calibration requiring re-tare or re-zero of the tension head
• Loosening of fasteners, mounts, towers or turntable through normal use
• Squeaking, binding or roughness resolved by cleaning and lubrication

Victor NA provides setup guidance, adjustment instruction and replacement wear parts to all owners on the terms set out in Section 6, both during and after the warranty term.

2.3 Excluded causes

This warranty does not apply to any machine, or any part of a machine, that has been affected by:

• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, oxidation or discolouration
• Failure to perform the maintenance described in Section 3, or use without required lubrication
• Exceeding the machine's maximum rated tension, or shock-loading the tension head
• Improper stringing technique, forcing of mechanisms, or damage caused while mounting or removing a racquet
• Impact, dropping, crushing, or damage in transit, handling or relocation after delivery
• Fire, flood, earthquake, storm, lightning, power failure, or any other event beyond Victor NA's reasonable control
• Corrosion or contamination from perspiration, humidity, solvents, adhesives, cooking or industrial fumes, salt air, or non-approved cleaners
• Incorrect supply voltage, power surge, brownout, or use without the supplied power adapter
• Disassembly, modification, drilling, welding, refinishing, or the fitting of non-VICTOR parts, or the use of any lubricant other than the type specified in the manual
• Repair or attempted repair by anyone other than Victor NA or a party authorized by Victor NA in writing
• Use of the machine for any purpose other than stringing racquets, or in any commercial rental, lease or unattended public-access application not approved in writing
• Missing, altered, or illegible serial number

2.4 Not covered under any circumstances

• Labour, service call, travel, or installation charges
• Freight, duty, brokerage or insurance except as stated in Section 5
• Racquets, strings, grommets or other property damaged during use of the machine
• Loss of use, lost stringing revenue, business interruption, or any other indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages
• Any machine purchased second-hand, from an unauthorized reseller, as a demo/floor unit sold "as-is", or through a grey-market channel

Warranty coverage is conditional on the owner:

• Reading and following the owner's manual, including tension limits and clamp setting procedure
• Keeping clamp pads and gripper surfaces clean and replacing them when worn
• Cleaning and lubricating moving surfaces at the intervals specified in the manual
• Checking and re-tightening mounting hardware periodically
• Periodically verifying tension output and re-adjusting the tension head as described in the manual
• Registering the machine within 30 days of invoice as required by Section 1, and retaining the original sales invoice for the full warranty term

Victor NA may request evidence that the above has been carried out before approving a claim.

A component is treated as defective only where it fails in a manner inconsistent with normal use, wear, adjustment or maintenance, as determined by Victor NA in its reasonable judgment after review of the submitted evidence and, where requested, physical inspection of the part.

Victor NA may require the owner to:

• Submit photographs and video of the fault occurring
• Provide the serial number, purchase date, dealer, and approximate number of racquets strung
• Perform a specified diagnostic or adjustment step and report the result
• Return the affected part, freight prepaid, for inspection

If inspection shows the failure resulted from an excluded cause, the claim will be declined and any inspection or return freight cost is the owner’s responsibility.

Where a claim is approved, Victor NA’s sole and exclusive obligation is, at Victor NA’s option, to:

• Supply a replacement part free of charge for the owner to install; or
• Repair the defective part or assembly.

This warranty provides repair and parts. It does not provide return, exchange or refund of the machine.

Only where Victor NA has attempted repair or parts replacement for the same defect a reasonable number of times without resolving it will Victor NA, at its option, replace the machine with the same or a comparable current model, or refund the purchase price less a reasonable allowance for use.

Parts only. Labour is not included. Installation of supplied parts is the owner’s responsibility, with remote guidance available from Victor NA.

Freight: shipping of warranty parts is at the owner’s cost in all cases, as are express freight, remote-area surcharges, duties, brokerage and taxes.

Parts are sourced from the manufacturer and availability is not guaranteed. Victor NA does not warrant any particular delivery time for replacement parts and is not liable for delay in fulfilling an approved claim.

Replacement parts may be new or functionally equivalent reconditioned parts, and carry the remainder of the original warranty term only.

Separately from and in addition to this warranty, Victor NA will assist any owner of a VICTOR stringing machine in sourcing repair and replacement parts at cost, without markup, for as long as those parts remain in production and available to Victor NA from the manufacturer. This applies to wear items, to machines outside the one-year term, to failures arising from an excluded cause, and to machines that were not registered.

Freight, duties, brokerage and taxes are payable by the owner. Victor NA cannot guarantee that any particular part remains available, and discontinued parts cannot be supplied.

Setup guidance and adjustment instruction are likewise available to any owner at no charge.

This section is an accommodation offered at Victor NA’s discretion. It is not a warranty obligation, does not extend the warranty term, and does not create an entitlement to repair, replacement or service.

All warranty claims are submitted through the VICTOR warranty portal at warranty.victorracquets.com. Claims are not accepted by phone, and telephone or verbal assurances do not constitute approval of a claim.

Step 1 — Submit. Open a claim in the portal against the registered serial number. The machine record and invoice are retrieved automatically. Claims cannot be opened against a serial number that was not registered within the period required by Section 1.

Step 2 — Evidence. Attach photographs of the affected component and, where the fault is intermittent or mechanical, video of the fault occurring. Describe when the fault began, what changed, and the approximate number of racquets strung on the machine.

Step 3 — Assessment.Victor NA will review the claim and may request a diagnostic step, an adjustment, or the return of the affected part for inspection. Where the manufacturer’s assessment is required, the review period will extend accordingly. Claims remain open pending the owner’s response and are closed automatically after 30 days without one.

Step 4 — Authorization.Do not return any part or machine before a Return Authorization number has been issued through the portal. Unauthorized returns will be refused at the owner’s cost.

Claims must be opened within 30 days of the fault becoming apparent, and in all cases before the warranty term expires. A fault that first appears within the warranty term but is reported after it expires is not covered.

VICTOR stringing machines are commercial equipment sold for business use. This warranty is offered on that basis.

This is a limited warranty. It is the only express warranty given by Victor NA, and no dealer, employee or representative is authorized to extend it, alter it, waive any part of it, or make any other representation on Victor NA’s behalf. No verbal statement modifies this document.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all other warranties, conditions and representations, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including any implied warranty or condition of merchantability, durability, or fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded. Victor NA’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the machine, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, will not exceed the purchase price paid for the machine.

Victor NA is not liable for loss of use, lost stringing or retail revenue, business interruption, loss of profit, or any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, whether or not Victor NA was advised of the possibility of such loss.

Where a machine is purchased by an individual for personal, family or household use, statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation apply and nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or of incidental or consequential damages, and those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

This warranty is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
